Meet Sonia:
I believe in the healing opportunities we have in our relationships, in re-examining our stories, and in our bodies. My intention is to center you, your values, and your goals as we collaboratively navigate life’s uncertainties together. I believe that you know yourself and your experiences best—and that therapy can be one way to deepen your understanding of who you are, connect to what matters most, and move toward healing in a way that feels authentic.
I work with adults and adolescents (15+) navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I’m especially passionate about supporting queer and gender-diverse individuals, and I welcome people of all body sizes.
I draw from Attachment, Narrative, and Systems perspectives, and integrate elements of ACT, CBT, IFS, and Solution-Focused Therapy into our work. I’m trained in Brainspotting and regularly incorporate somatic mindfulness into therapy to support trauma processing and connection to the full range of your inner experience. I work to create a space where you can express yourself freely, honor the strengths that have brought you here, and sit together in the complexities of life—with curiosity and compassion.
Clinical Background:
I’m a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) with experience in domestic violence advocacy and outpatient community mental health settings. My practice is guided by trauma-informed, culturally humble, and anti-oppressive lenses, and centers on the exploration of ways that we find empowerment, autonomy, and connection while navigating the systems that try to keep us apart.
What to Expect in Therapy:
Therapy with me is collaborative, relational, and paced around what feels right for you as we explore what matters to you, what feels stuck, and how you want to exist in the present moment—however that looks or feels.
If you're considering therapy, I’d be honored to join you in your process.
