Cyrena believes therapy can be a space for growth, healing, and change. Cyrena uses a person-centered approach to develop a strong therapeutic relationship that tailors to each client’s needs. She provides a safe environment using empathy, unconditional positive regard, and empowerment to support and encourage clients to discover who they are and bring lasting positive change to their lives. She aims to meet you where you are at with curiosity and authenticity.

Cyrena has a strong reliance on emotionally-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness practices. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, struggles with self-esteem, grief, identity development, and life transitions. She works with couples including those wanting to focus on communication, trust, emotional awareness, or figuring out what is next.

Cyrena received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Counselor Education specializing in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at Portland State University. She is a white, queer, cis-gender woman and is dedicated to practicing from an inclusive and trauma-informed approach. Outside of the counseling room she enjoys reading high fantasy, hiking, being a cat mom, and playing Animal Crossing and Hogwarts Legacy.

Life is a crazy, confusing, beautiful journey and it can be hard, just like therapy. If you are looking for a therapist who brings her full real self to the room, with genuineness and humor, and is collaborative, then you might be in the right place.
